Welcome to Silver Lake Books, a local independent bookstore serving Rochester, Minnesota and the surrounding communities since 2018.
Silver Lake Books is a two-story bricks-and-mortar bookstore located at: 903 6th St. NW, Rochester, the large warehouse by Forager Brewery, Jack's Bottleshop, AV DIagnostics.
Silver Lake Books sells new, used, exclusive books, and Lisa Loucks-Christenson's ebooks, books, wildlife art, art books, and art cards.
Silver Lake Books™ sells our exclusive line of merchandise: home decor, ebooks, prints, fiction, non-fiction, documentaries, art books, Photo Traders™, Story Preview Editions™, and our exclusive lines of personalized books published by our parent company, Loucks Studios, Inc. and their imprints, and sister publishing company, Lisa Loucks-Christenson Publishing, LLC.
We sell books, art cards, wildlife art that is only available through our network stores, both online and in our bricks-and-mortar stores, and a a handful of online distributors carrying select ebooks under short contract periods.
We sell new and used books in new, mint, good, ex-library, good used, with a handful of heavily used conditions (sometimes this is the only way to find these treasured books!) in a wide variety of genres.
The rest of of our store sells a rotating selection of children's books, middle grade, young adult, Christian books, fiction and non-fiction titles.
We own and sell to our clients a rotating supply of 75k-125k books, new and used books including our publisher inventory, online bookstores, and in store inventory at or warehouses and retail stores. Books are sold at current retail prices for new titles, and our used books are sold at fair market value.
We carry most genres: art books, action, adventure, agriculture, arts, autobiography, biography, classics, cooking, diets, environment, essays, fantasy, graphic novels, health, historical, horror, nature, medical, memoir, music, mystery, political, self-help, science-fiction, suspense, thriller, WWII, westerns, and wildlife.

We maintain a book requests section on our site that we use to post book requests for our clients. Call us with your book request and we'll try and find you a copy.

Donations: Please call if you are interested in donating good quality books.
Purchasing: We hold buyer sessions throughout the year. Please submit your book proposal if you want to be considered for a buyer appointment.
The books we sell are hand-curated. This means we buy books that we feel like investing in and titles that we expect a return on our investment.
We don’t buy books from sellers, authors, or publishers that walk in without appointments and demand we invest our company money into their goods or products, some have even brought pre-dated invoices, or send unsolicited books with an invoice that we didn’t order or have an interest in.
We hold buying sessions and offer appointments all year long. If you are in the neighborhood, have a new release, are a local or regional author we may be interested in your work. We buy our books from our publishing house, our contacts in the publishing industry for over 35 years, and publisher sales and shows. Our books are hand-curated to bring an interesting selection of titles we discover and purchase to resell. Our rare, autographed, vintage, and collectible books are available by request or appointment.
